Sony Vegas- Overall Screengrab Of Sony vegas.
Sony vegas I much preferred using to add effects then final cut. As unlike final cut I found the more subliminal effects on sony vegas added a much more sophisticated feel to my video rather then the effects found on final cut. I wanted to also challenge myself at using another program as I had used Final Cut and iMovie previously.
Sony Vegas- Modifying Chosen Effects
In this image it shows the effect; star burst which can be seen at 28 seconds, it gives the character a sparkling effect which can be seen in Katy Perry's firework. I wanted this to be as effective as possible so by using the video track fx which can be seen on the right hand side i modified it and made it as bright as possible. I modified most of the effects I added so as to achieve a aesthetically pleasing look.
Sony Vegas- Effects
This image shows the effects available to add to the video. In the centre of the screen. A certain effect was added to each layer my video was then spliced to the beat on the markers in and then put onto the layer with the effect in which i wanted to apply to it. The right hand side picture shows the effect of lens flare upon a part of my video.

Final Cut
Final Cut.
I uploaded both video footage and sound files to Final Cut from a memory stick, I then used the new techniques I had learnt from Final cut to edit the footage so it matched, I done this by editing the black areas out of the video footage and then cut the sound to the same length as the video, this then fitted with the sound track I had chosen. I have learnt numerous skills such as; how to crop the footage and sound, how to add transitions to help blend two different video clips together and also add video effects, these can change the colour to black and white, sepia etc. I also learnt how to change the browser views. I also learnt how to cut the videos and move them to different timings in the video, this is useful when inserting more or deleting footage. Then I cut the footage using 'in' and 'out' points to decrease the video clip before adding it to the final cut of my video, once I finished editing and cutting the footage I rendered the clip so that it would play correctly.
